How to get here

By train:

There are two trains per hour from Waterloo to Claygate on the Guildford via Cobham line (and vice versa). Exit into the shopping street. (If coming from the Guildford direction, cross to the other platform via the footbridge first.) Walk to the end and cross over the road (onto Hare Lane), and catch the K3 bus to the Claygate Village Hall stop (normally four per hour, with three per hour between 7pm and 9pm on Saturdays). Or, on foot, turn right into Hare Lane. You will pass two streets on the right and then come to a mini roundabout, with Champion Timber on your right. Follow the road to the right and a few yards along you will come to the Village Hall and then, immediately after, Holy Trinity Church. (Approximately ten minutes' comfortable walk). There is also a taxi office: Claremont Cars (01372 471471).

By bus:

The K3 bus from Kingston to Esher, via Surbiton station, stops outside Claygate Village Hall, next door to Holy Trinity Church. Ask to get off there. There are usually four buses per hour. To return, take the bus marked Roehampton Vale from the same stop.

By car:

Claygate is approximately 15 miles, and 40 minutes by car from central London.

From London: Take the A3 along the Kingston Bypass to the exit marked 'Esher, Heathrow (A309)'. Proceed ahead over a small roundabout. Turn left at the Shell petrol station traffic lights, and drive to the T-junction with Oaken Lane. Turn left and drive ahead till you reach a mini roundabout with Champion Timber in front of you. Turn left, and 20 yards further on, take the right exit of the next mini roundabout into Church Road. Holy Trinity Church is a few yards along on the right after the Village Hall.

From M25: Leave at junction 10 and take the A3 towards London. Leave at the second exit (Esher Common) and turn left towards Esher. Drive through the woods until you reach the traffic lights, then turn right into Milbourne Lane. Follow this road past the Swan pub, on under the railway bridge, into Hare Lane. Drive past the shops, until you come to a mini roundabout with Champion Timber on your right. Turn right and take the right exit from the next mini roundabout into Church Road. Holy Trinity Church is a few yards along on your right.

Parking is plentiful on the road outside and in nearby streets.
